  • Types of Anesthetics:

    There are four main types of anesthetics that are used in the hospital. The type of anesthesia which our doctor chooses to use depends on many factors like the procedure of your surgery and your current health.

  • Local: numbs one small area of the body. You stay awake and alert.
  • Conscious of intravenous (IV) sedation: uses a mild sedative to relax you and a pain medicine to relieve pain. You stay awake but may not remember the procedure afterwards
  • Regional anesthesia : block pain in an area of the body, such an arm or leg Ex.-Spinal Anesthesia , Epidural Anesthesia, Nerve block, Painless Delivery Epidural anesthesia, which is sometimes used during childbirth, is a type of regional anesthesia.
  • General anesthesia : affects your whole body. You go to sleep and feel nothing. You have no memory of the procedure afterwards
  • Total intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA):- Only IV Drugs are given to anesthetic patient.
  • In the developed world Anesthesiology is considered to be one of the most important departments as for as surgical need is considered , but in India people don’t realize the importance of Anesthesiologist. They always enquire about the surgeons but unfortunately not about Anesthesiologist. During any surgery for the safety of patient skilled, qualified and knowledgeable Anesthesiologist is the key.

    Our Chief Anesthesiologist- Dr. Sanjay Goyal (MD ) is having experience of dealing with more than THIRTY THOUSAND cases individually. He is expert in dealing medically unfit and critically ill patient under going for surgeries . He has got vast experience of cardiology emergency medicine & paediatric anaesthesia. During the journey of perioperative care he faced complications several time but managed them successfully without any mortality in his carrier.
